Skate 56 was the first purpose built indoor skate park in Northern Ireland.  The facility has a unique setting in the heart of Newcastle at the foot of the Mourne Mountains.

The skate park was established in April 2006 and was designed and built by Irelands top skate boarder Mike Keane and his business partner Phil Sheridan.

Over the last couple of years it has been used to teach skating techniques and hold rock practice and events.
